Zip Card Gift Card

The Zip Card Gift Card is a prepaid declining balance "All Campus" account.

Use the Classic Gift Card at all locations that accept the Zip Card. 

At the time of purchase, funds are deposited into the Gift Card’s account and the card is activated for use. 

The cardholder will then be able to make purchases from departments on campus and from merchants that accept the Zip Card as payment.

Zip Card Gift Cards are available at the Simmons Hall Zip Card office.

Personal Use Gift Cards

Individuals may purchase or add value to the Gift Card at the Zip Card office with following:

  • Cash
  • Personal credit card
    • VISA
    • MasterCard
    • Discover

    • American Express

University-Use Gift Cards

University of Akron departments and colleges may purchase a Gift Card by submitting a University of Akron "On-Campus Order Form" to the Zip Card office.
Gift cards purchased with University funds expire one year from the date of issuance.

Gift Cards should be treated as cash; we cannot replace a lost or stolen Gift Card. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
